what people are doing at the moment of speaking

INTERROGATIVE
Are you working? Yes, I am / No, I am not
Is he working? Yes, he is / No, he is not
Is she working? Yes, she is / No, she is not
Are we working? Yes, we are / No, we are not
Are they working? Yes, they are / No, they are not
I am doing something: I am in the middle of doing something. I have started doing it and I have not finished yet.
Often the action is happening at the time of speaking:
I am tired. I am going to bed now
Please don´t make so much noise. I´m working.
But the action is not necessarily happening at the time of speaking. For example:
I´m reading an interesting book at the moment. I will lend it you when I have finished it.
PRONOUN + VERB TO BE + VERB/ING
We use the present continuous when we talk about things happening in a period around now (for example, today / this week / this evening etc.)
